"Tabulations (A Nine Year)"
I have a new poem in Issue 163 of Island. "Tabulations (A Nine Year)" is about the masculine agility of the number 9, and the 'tabulated' constraints of women's lives, especially women of colour. [Excerpt]:
All over the world, as young men of industry (action heroes)
whirr above vaulted ceilings, it remains the custom to eulogise
animated women with tiny glass feet and alabaster skin.
